Ghu­lam Ahmed Mir: Sit­ting Jammu and Kash­mir MLA and for­mer state min­is­ter, he was ac­cused by two women of ex­ploit­ing them. One of the women said he ex­ploited her af­ter she met him to get her hus­band ac­quit­ted of charges of ab­scond­ing ter­ror­ist. The other woman ac­cused Mir of forced sex in lieu of a job. He was charged un­der Sec­tion 5 (procur­ing, in­duc­ing per­son for sale for the pur­pose of pros­ti­tu­tion) of PITA.

Ra­man Mat­too: A for­mer Jammu and Kash­mir min­is­ter, he was ac­cused of sex­u­ally ex­ploit­ing girls when they ap­proached him for jobs. He was also charged un­der Sec­tion 5 of PITA. Iqbal Khandey: Prin­ci­pal sec­re­tary (plan­ning) now un­der sus­pen­sion, he was also charged un­der Sec­tion 5 of PITA.

Sabeena: Al­leged to be king­pin of the scan­dal, she was charged with forc­ing girls into pros­ti­tu­tion and sup­ply­ing them to politi­cians and po­lice of­fi­cials. Al­legedly run­ning a brothel from Sri­na­gar house, she was charged un­der Sec­tions 3 and 5 of PITA and 120-B.

Ab­dul Hamid: Sabeena’s hus­band, he was ac­cused of al­legedly forc­ing girls into pros­ti­tu­tion and sup­ply­ing them. He was charged un­der Sec­tions 3, 4, 5 and Sec­tion 120-B read with Sec­tion 376 of Ran­bir Pe­nal Code.
