Stepping Stones Sr Sec School, Sector 37-D, Chandigarh The school celebrated morality week on Friday where students were made to realise the importance of imbibing good values through inspiring talks, smart-board presentations and story narration. Several creative activities were also held. Gian Jyoti Public School, Phase 2, SAS Nagar Students of the school got the opportunity to be a part of the flag march at Wagah border during their one-day tour to Amritsar. They also visited Golden Temple, Jallianwalla Bagh and the Attari border of Amritsar and Pakistan. Also, they marched with the Indian National Flag from Swaran Jayanti Gate to the main gate of the Indian Border. Sant Isher Singh Public School, Phase 7, SAS Nagar The Heritage Club of school, ‘Virsa’, organised a socio-cultural exhibition on ‘Incredible India’ that showcased the ethnic, cultural and traditional aspects of various states, including Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. The students exhibited special dishes of different regions, while presenting traditional dance performances. The highlight of the event was the puppet dance that was performed by the students of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House. Also, the students from different houses participated in the poetry-recitation competition in different regional languages. Director, Hardip Kaur Gill, and principal, Inderjeet Kaur Sandhu, appreciated the students. Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20-B, Chandigarh A seven-day NSS camp on environment concluded in the school campus. As many as 50 volunteers attended this camp. The chief guest, Bikram Rana, SLO (NSS), urged the volunteers to work for the society. Various resource persons sensitised the volunteers on issues, including AIDS awareness, stress management, environmental pollution. They also visited adopted area (police colony Sector 20-A, Chandigarh), old age home Sector 15, Chandigarh.
