Step­ping Stones Sr Sec School, Sec­tor 37-D, Chandigarh The school cel­e­brated moral­ity week on Fri­day where stu­dents were made to re­alise the im­por­tance of im­bib­ing good val­ues through in­spir­ing talks, smart-board pre­sen­ta­tions and story nar­ra­tion. Sev­eral cre­ative ac­tiv­i­ties were also held. Gian Jy­oti Pub­lic School, Phase 2, SAS Na­gar Stu­dents of the school got the op­por­tu­nity to be a part of the flag march at Wa­gah bor­der dur­ing their one-day tour to Am­rit­sar. They also vis­ited Golden Tem­ple, Jal­lian­walla Bagh and the At­tari bor­der of Am­rit­sar and Pak­istan. Also, they marched with the In­dian Na­tional Flag from Swaran Jayanti Gate to the main gate of the In­dian Bor­der. Sant Isher Singh Pub­lic School, Phase 7, SAS Na­gar The Her­itage Club of school, ‘Virsa’, or­gan­ised a so­cio-cul­tural ex­hi­bi­tion on ‘In­cred­i­ble In­dia’ that show­cased the eth­nic, cul­tural and tra­di­tional as­pects of var­i­ous states, in­clud­ing Ra­jasthan, West Ben­gal, Haryana and Jammu and Kash­mir. The stu­dents ex­hib­ited spe­cial dishes of dif­fer­ent re­gions, while pre­sent­ing tra­di­tional dance per­for­mances. The high­light of the event was the pup­pet dance that was per­formed by the stu­dents of Sahibzada Zo­rawar Singh House. Also, the stu­dents from dif­fer­ent houses par­tic­i­pated in the po­etry-recita­tion com­pe­ti­tion in dif­fer­ent re­gional lan­guages. Di­rec­tor, Hardip Kaur Gill, and prin­ci­pal, In­der­jeet Kaur Sandhu, ap­pre­ci­ated the stu­dents. Government Girls Model Se­nior Sec­ondary School, Sec­tor 20-B, Chandigarh A seven-day NSS camp on en­vi­ron­ment con­cluded in the school cam­pus. As many as 50 vol­un­teers at­tended this camp. The chief guest, Bikram Rana, SLO (NSS), urged the vol­un­teers to work for the so­ci­ety. Var­i­ous re­source per­sons sen­si­tised the vol­un­teers on is­sues, in­clud­ing AIDS aware­ness, stress man­age­ment, en­vi­ron­men­tal pol­lu­tion. They also vis­ited adopted area (po­lice colony Sec­tor 20-A, Chandigarh), old age home Sec­tor 15, Chandigarh.
