CTET results declared
CHANDIGARH: The for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) were declared on Friday.
Nearly six lakh candidates from across the India and around 20,000 candidates appeared for the exam, out of which only 6 per cent have cleared the exam that was held on November 18, 2012.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the test twice a year. One of the major problems that candidates faced during the exam time was time management. Candidates also complained that the time they got for the test was inadequate.
The CTET is conducted for recruiting teachers for Central government schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalas, Tibetan schools and schools run by the UT administration and Andaman and Nicobar Island.
The test also enables a candidate to get recruited to unaided private schools that consider CTET as hiring criteria.
