SAS NA­GAR: The po­lice have is­sued look-out no­tice against 22-year-old Shalini Kapoor, who is ac­cused of dup­ing peo­ple on pre­text of send­ing them abroad. All other ac­cused in the case are also ab­scond­ing.

Mean­while, po­lice have al­ready re­ceived about 20 com­plaints against Shalini Kapoor, who used to run World Class En­ter­prises Pri­vate Lim­ited, Phase 9, SAS Na­gar. Be­sides her, po­lice have also booked her part­ners Ran­vir Singh and Anita un­der Sec­tions 420 (cheat­ing) and 406 (crim­i­nal breach of trust) of the In­dian Pe­nal Code and Sec­tion 24 of the Im­mi­gra­tion Act.

The look-out no­tice has been is­sued to en­sure that the ac­cused does not flee abroad. As per po­lice, of the nearly 20 com­plaints re­ceived against Shalini Kapoor so far, most vic­tims be­long to Sangrur. “We have also re­ceived three com­plaints from Chandigarh be­sides a few from Lud­hi­ana,” po­lice said.

Shalini, who orig­i­nally hails from Dharam­sala, had re­port­edly opened of­fice at Phase 9 about two years ago. She was re­sid­ing in a rented ac­com­mo­da­tion at Sec­tor 71.
