ENGINEERING STUDENTS DEVELOP HYBRID CAR
AMBALA: The students of an engineering institute here have developed a hybrid car that runs on petrol and diesel.
Amit Ji n d a l , A n k i t Thakur, Jaspal Singh, Pankaj and Shashank Sharma, BTech third year students of Sawmi Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET) who made the car, said the car had covered more than 1,000 kilometres.
They said the engine that they had developed also improve fuel mileage.
“The project is still under development.
“We will launch a commercial one if everything goes according to the plan,” Jindal said.
