Make city a ‘cultural centre’

Hindustan Times (Chandigarh) - Live - - OPINION/EDUCATION -

It will be great if the city residents create their own culture and tradition in the year 2013. First and foremost people of this city must raise a voice to reduce alcohol shops and increase public libraries. If People of this city can have beautiful parks in all sectors, they can also wish to have Public libraries in all the sectors. Elite class of the city witnesses whatever cultural programs are held in the Tagore Theatre, the city must therefore have Public cultural centre, where common people can conduct cultural programs. It is sad to pay huge money for booking Halls to conduct cultural programs. The city must provide free public halls to its residents from the funds that are received by the central government. The problem of Eve teasing, youth unrest and social conflicts can be best addressed by councelling our children. Panditrao Dharennavar
