SCINDIA FORGETS

In the article “The malaise of hunger and malnutrition” (September 27), Jyotiraditya M Scindia has tried to put the Narendra Modi government in the dock by highlighting the plight of the poor in India but forgotten to mention that the root of it is in population explosion. He is also silent on why the Congress, which has ruled for the maximum period after Independence, failed to curb the population growth. No welfare scheme can succeed until the population is controlled. and he are losing the bond they made with people. Now they are down to bargaining like typical politicians and have stopped thinking of Punjab. Had they been sincere, they would have joined some party without preconditions.
