CHANDIGARH : The Ryan In­ter­na­tional trustees on Satur­day filed an­tic­i­pa­tory bail pleas in Pun­jab and Haryana high court in the case of mur­der of seven-year-old Prad­hyumn in Gur­gaon last week.

The trustees Au­gus­tine F Pinto, his wife Grace and their son Ryan, ap­proached the high court in two dif­fer­ent pe­ti­tions af­ter the Bom­bay high court re­jected their bail plea cit­ing ju­ris­dic­tion is­sues. The pleas were filed on Satur­day, but the high court registry raised cer­tain ob­jec­tions over the pleas. Those associated with the case said that ob­jec­tions raised would be dealt with on Mon­day. The mat­ter is likely to be taken up ei­ther on Mon­day or Tues­day.

The re­gional head of group, Thomas Fran­cis, who was ar­rested by the Haryana Po­lice in the case, has al­ready moved an ap­pli­ca­tion for reg­u­lar bail.

The trustee cou­ple — Au­gus­tine F Pinto and his wife Grace —have ar­gued that they would make them­selves avail­able when­ever sum­moned. Since they are se­nior cit­i­zens they are suf­fer­ing from var­i­ous ail­ments and their ar­rest would ad­versely af­fect (their health), it has been ar­gued.
