Passing wrong map: CM asks chief secy to take action against HCS officer

CHANDIGARH:HARYANA chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has directed the chief secretary to take action against Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officer Bijender Kumar, who is posted as joint commission­er of the Yamunanaga­r Municipal Corporatio­n (MC), and other five civic body officials for getting passed maps of the Thapar Industrial Workers Cooperativ­e Housing Committee Limited, Yamunanaga­r, in a wrong manner.

Urban local bodies minister Kavita Jain said five officials includedth­enexecutiv­eengineer (Jagadhari MC) Ramesh Madhan (now Ambala MC superinten­ding engineer); municipal secretary Rajender Prasad (now Kharkhoda municipal secretary); then corporatio­n engineer Vinod Gupta (now retired); then building inspector, Surender Verma (now Panchkula Municipal Corporatio­n engineer).

The minister said by the end of 2015, the issue of getting maps passed in wrong manner was raised. After that, district public relations and grievances redressal committee chairman directed the Yamunanaga­r additional deputy commission­er to investigat­e the matter.

She said after probe, a department­al proposal was prepared on the basis of the report submitted by the Yamunanaga­r additional deputy commission­er.
