CHANDIGARH: To fi­nalise the Congress strat­egy for the Lud­hi­ana MC elec­tions, se­nior cab­i­net min­is­ter and party’s ob­server for the polls, Tript Ra­jin­der Singh Ba­jwa, has con­vened a prepara­tory meet­ing in Lud­hi­ana on Wed­nes­day.

Local Pun­jab Congress lead­ers and work­ers have been in­vited for the meet­ing to be held in the Lud­hi­ana Cir­cuit House and aimed at en­sur­ing that the party’s win­ning spree in the state con­tin­ues.

Be­sides dis­cussing the poll strat­egy, the party will take stock of the is­sues fac­ing the peo­ple of Lud­hi­ana, a Pun­jab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) spokesper­son said here on Tues­day. The views of the local party lead­ers and work­ers will be taken be­fore fi­nal­is­ing the man­i­festo for the elec­tions, he added.

Pun­jab chief min­is­ter Cap­tain Amarinder Singh has di­rected Ba­jwa to ini­ti­ate an open dis­cus­sion among the party work­ers as they are best placed to pro­vide an in­sight into the Lud­hi­ana prob­lems and is­sues. PPCC chief Su­nil Jakhar has made it clear that the views of the party work­ers, down the rank and file, should be taken into ac­count be­fore fi­nal­is­ing the poll agenda.
