Haryana among top 6 exporting states: Economic survey
CHANDIGARH: Haryana is among the top six exporting states which account for 75 % of total exports from the country and has the distinction of being the second among the states having largest internal trade surplus.
This was revealed by the prebudget economic survey tabled in Parliament by Union finance minister Arun Jaitley on Monday. This is for the first time that the survey has given statewise breakup of exports of goods and services. The five top exporting states are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
The survey showed of the 75% exports made by the six states, Haryana accounts for 4.9 %. The states with largest internal trade surpluses are Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. Data shows that states that export the most are also the ones that import the most.
