IPS OFFICER TO BE INDUCTED INTO CMO
CHANDIGARH :A 1992-batch Haryana IPS officer Om Prakash Singh will soon be inducted in the chief minister’s office (CMO).
The state government on Monday placed his services at the disposal of the chief secretary for further posting in the government. Singh, currently posted as additional director general of police (ADGP), Human Rights and Litigation will be the first IPS officer to be appointed as an aide of a Haryana chief minister.
Being a 1992-batch IPS officer, he will be next only to 1987 batch IAS officer Rajesh Khullar who is the principal secretary to the chief minister (PSCM) in terms of seniority.
Besides Khullar, the CMO has 1997 batch IAS officer Rakesh Gupta as additional PSCM and 2005 batch IAS officer Mandeep Brar as deputy PSCM. There are 11 more officers in the rank of officers on special duty (OSD) and advisers in the CMO.
