Po­lice post at­tacked, ac­cused freed from cus­tody

KARNAL: A group of about 15 peo­ple al­legedly clashed with the po­lice at the Hamida po­lice post in Ya­mu­nana­gar and man­aged to re­lease a per­son ac­cused of rash driv­ing from po­lice cus­tody.

How­ever, two cops in­clud­ing Con­sta­ble Manoj Ku­mar and ASI Am­reek Singh sus­tained in­juries in the clash. Talk­ing to Hin­dus­tan Times, Ya­mu­nana­gar su­per­in­ten­dent of po­lice Ra­jesh Kalia said, “The po­lice have booked 15 peo­ple, in­clud­ing Vikrant Bagga, Amit Ku­mar, Happy Singh and Raja un­der Sec­tions 307, 353, 323, 324, 148, 149 and 379 B of the IPC and po­lice teams are work­ing to ar­rest them”.
