4 killed, 21 in­jured in two sep­a­rate road ac­ci­dents in HP

IN ONE IN­CI­DENT, A CAR VEERED OFF ROAD AND FELL INTO A DEEP GORGE NEAR LUG VAL­LEY IN KULLU DISTRICT, KILLING ALL FOUR OC­CU­PANTS

SHIMALA : Four per­sons were killed and 21 oth­ers in­jured in two sep­a­rate road ac­ci­dents in Hi­machal Pradesh on Mon­day, po­lice said.

The first in­ci­dent took place when a car veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Lug Val­ley in Kullu district this af­ter­noon, they said.

All the four oc­cu­pants of the car were killed, po­lice added.

The po­lice reached the spot on re­ceiv­ing in­for­ma­tion and re­trieved the bodies with the help of lo­cal peo­ple, they said.

The de­ceased, which in­cluded a woman, were iden­ti­fied as Sarla Devi, So­han Lal, Hari Singh and Tikkam Ram, all res­i­dents of Pacha­hali vil­lage near Kullu.

Ad­di­tional su­prien­ten­dent of po­lice (ASP) , Kullu, Nishchint Negi said the bodies were handed over to fam­ily mem­bers af­ter post mortem.

HRTC BUS RAMS INTO CAR IN ROHRU

In an­other in­ci­dent, 21 per­sons were in­jured when a car col­lided with a Hi­machal Road Trans­port Cor­po­ra­tion (HRTC) bus near Machauti in the Rohru area of this district, po­lice said.

The in­jured per­sons were rushed to a hos­pi­tal in Rohroo and all of them are stated to be out of dan­ger, they said.
