HAFIZ SAEED MOVES PAKISTANI COURT AGAINST WITHDRAWAL OF HIS SECURITY

LAHORE : Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, challenging the provincial government’s decision to withdraw his security. The government of Punjab had withdrawn policemen deployed for the security of the Jamaat-ud Dawa chief after the Supreme Court directed inspector-generals of Islamabad and all four provinces to take back security escorts from people who are not entitled to it. The chief justice, however, later directed the top provincial police officials to ensure security to all those who face genuine threats. In his petition, Saeed said the Punjab government wrongly interpretation the Supreme Court order.
