Drive against road rule violators from today

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Police will launch a month-long drive from June 1 to deal with the traffic violators, especially the motorbiker­iders without helmets on the national highways in the state. A spokesman of police department said on Thursday that in compliance of the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court, all kinds of traffic violators especially the motorists without helmets would be sensitised to abide by the traffic rules.those male or female motorists, who would ride a two wheeler without helmet, including pillionrid­ers and triple riders, would face challans including suspension of their driving licenses under the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act. Police would also lay emphasis on penalising the triple riding.
