Dushyant terms new alliance unholy, casteist

- HT Correspondent

AMBALA: Hisar MP and Jannayak Janta Party (JPP) leader Dushyant Chautala on Saturday denounced the newly formed alliance between the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP) of BJP rebel MP Rajkumar Saini, dubbing it as unholy and casteist.

The BSP entered into the new alliance after parting ways with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Saturday in the wake of their humiliating defeat in Jind byelection, where alliance candidate Umed Redhu lost his security deposit and was reduced to the fifth position.

Dushyant, who was in town to inaugurate JJP’S new office, also told mediapersons that his newly floated party would not join the BSP-LSP alliance. “The BSP and LSP have joined hands on casteist basis. We don’t believe in politics on the basis of caste and religion,” he added.
