Body of salon owner found near Sodal railway crossing

JALANDHAR: The government railway police (GRP) found a body of a salon owner near the Sodal railway crossing in Shiv Nagar area, here on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Arun Bassi, 38, of Basti Peer Daad. As per the police, Arun used to run a salon at the Mandi Road area. While it is suspected to be a suicide case, the GRP is yet to ascertain the cause of the death. Investigation officer, assistant-sub-inspector Mujhail Ram said, “We are also talking to the family members of Arun and the people, who used to work with him.” A case under Section 174 of the CRPC was registered.
