Rights activists, experts question police procedure

-

NEWDELHI: Retired police officials, experts and human rights activists have said that Vikas Dubey’s death raises disturbing questions about the procedures followed by the UP police; casts a shadow on its integrity; points to the existence of a “strong lobby” that did not want to see him alive; and undermines potential probe into the larger political-crime nexus. They also demanded an independent probe into the killing.
