Highest single-day spike in Punjab, 441 test positive

CHANDIGARH: Punjab on Thursday reported 441 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 11,739. The death toll climbed to 277 with eight more people succumbing to the disease, as per the media bulletin released by the state government. The state government has decided to impose a fine of ₹5,000 on Covid-19 patients violating home isolation norms.
