JAIL WARDER ARRESTED FOR SUPPLYING DRUGS

PATIALA: A jail warder of Ropar district jail was arrested for supplying drugs on jail premises on Tuesday. Accused is Mandeep Singh, who has been put under suspension by jail department. Police said the matter came to light after jail inmate Sukhvir Singh was arrested with drug tablets inside the jail. “During his interrogation, the inmate confessed that he procured the tablets from the warder,” police said.
