Two booked for rape after 15-yr-old Jind girl delivers baby

ROHTAK: Two persons were booked on Tuesday for repeatedly raping a 15-year-old Nepalese girl at a poultry farm in a Hisar village, police said.

The crime came to the fore when the girl’s father approached the Jind women’s police station on Tuesday and complained that his daughter was being raped by a poultry farm owner and his accomplice for the past 28 months.

“My daughter had delivered a baby on July 5. We came to know about the pregnancy few months ago, but the accused threatened to kill us if we reported the crime. Few months ago, I, along with my family, had left their farm and started working at another farm in Jind. We were initially reluctant to lodge an FIR, but we approached the police after my daughter delivered a baby,” the complainan­t added.

Jind women’s police station in-charge Sheela Rani said, “The girl said that she was repeatedly raped by the accused for 28 months. The accused even threatened her of dire consequenc­es if she disclosed the matter to anyone. ”

She said the case has been transferre­d to the Hansi police station as the crime took place

under their jurisdicti­on. The police have registered a zero FIR under sections 376 (2)N, 506, 120-B and 323 of the IPC and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused are absconding, the cop said.

A man was arrested for allegedly barging into the house of a 24-year-old woman in a Rohtak village along with his aide and two women on July 10. The woman had alleged that the accused men had raped her after beating up her mother. The accused was produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.
