INLD confident of winning Baroda bypoll: OP Chautala
ROHTAK: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) patriarch OP Chautala on Thursday said his party was all set to perform well in the upcoming Baroda byelection.
Interacting with mediapersons in Sirsa, Chautala said people from other parties were returning to their fold, which gave them confidence of winning the Baroda bypoll.
“Even though my party is in opposition, workers from other parties are joining us. The people of Haryana have realised that the BJP-JJP government betrayed them by doing nothing for them. My party had won Baroda seat seven times and we are confident of winning the bypoll,” Chautala added.
Launching a scathing attack on his grandson and deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, OP
Chautala said he had followed Ram Gautam (JJP rebel MLA from Narnaund) and forgot his great grandfather Devi Lal.
“Now, Gautam also left him. We are the only ones who follow in the footsteps of former deputy prime minister Devi Lal. The
BJP-JJP government has lost people’s trust vote and the voters will teach them a lesson in Baroda byelection,” he added.
He further asked the government to initiate special girdawari in the areas that came under locust attack.
