Priyanka vacates govt bungalow

NEW DELHI: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra vacated her government-allocated Lodhi Estate house on Thursday, a day before the deadline for the eviction notice issued by the ministry of housing and urban affairs.

Gandhi on July 1 was asked to vacate her bungalow 35 Lodhi Estate house in Delhi within a month on the ground that she is ineligible for the entitlemen­t, as she no longer enjoys the security cover of the SPG. She will be residing in a temporary accommodat­ion until a more permanent accommodat­ion in Delhi rented by her is ready for use, Congress said in a statement.

SONIA GANDHI ADMITTED FOR TEST

Congress president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday for routine tests, hospital authoritie­s said. She was admitted to the private facility here at 7 pm for “routine tests and investigat­ions”, the hos- pital said in a health bulletin.htc
