AMBALA DIVISION EARNINGS UP 67%

AMBALA : The Ambala division of Northern Railway recorded a total freight earning of ₹923.79 crore in the lockdown months (April-july), which is 67.3% higher than that in the same period last year (₹ 552.25 crore). Even as passenger services continue to dip amid the pandemic, the division managed to earn ₹221.4 crore in July as compared to ₹131.61 crore the same month last year, while “continuing to deliver essential commodities and core merchandise goods through its freight services”, stated a release.
