FRESH TENDER FOR WATERWORKS PROJECT IN CITY

CHANDIGARH: After poor response in the first attempt, the municipal corporation has once again floated tenders for doubling the storage capacity at the Sector-39 waterworks. The project will cost ₹38 crore and is planned to be completed within two years of the work allotment. Once operationalised, it will minimise water shortage during summers as well as disruption in supply from the Kajauli waterworks that feeds the Sector-39 reservoir.
