3 BOOKED FOR RAPE IN SBS NAGAR

JALANDHAR: Three persons have been booked for raping a middleaged woman in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar by trespassing into her home on the intervening night of August 15 and 16. The victim’s husband is in judicial custody. One of the accused is identified as Jagtar Singh, of village Surapur in the district, the other two remain unidentified. All three accused are absconding. A case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code at Banga sadar police station.
