RAIN IN­TEN­SITY TO ONCE AGAIN PICK UP FROM TONIGHT: IMD

CHANDIGARH: A day af­ter parts of the city’s pe­riph­ery were flooded due to down­pour in wee hours, the weather re­mained cloudy but no rain was recorded dur­ing the day in Chandigarh on Mon­day. In­dia Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Depart­ment (IMD) has pre­dicted that mon­soon ac­tiv­ity will once again pick up pace from Tues­day night. While lights are ex­pected on Tues­day, the fol­low­ing three to four days can re­ceive mod­er­ate rain, said IMD Chandigarh di­rec­tor Suren­der Paul, adding that the week­end can wit­ness heavy rain. In the next three days, max­i­mum tem­per­a­ture will re­main be­tween 32 and 33 de­gree Cel­sius while min­i­mum will be be­tween 25 and 26 de­grees.
