RAIN INTENSITY TO ONCE AGAIN PICK UP FROM TONIGHT: IMD
CHANDIGARH: A day after parts of the city’s periphery were flooded due to downpour in wee hours, the weather remained cloudy but no rain was recorded during the day in Chandigarh on Monday. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that monsoon activity will once again pick up pace from Tuesday night. While lights are expected on Tuesday, the following three to four days can receive moderate rain, said IMD Chandigarh director Surender Paul, adding that the weekend can witness heavy rain. In the next three days, maximum temperature will remain between 32 and 33 degree Celsius while minimum will be between 25 and 26 degrees.
