2 WEAPON SMUGGLING ACCUSED SENT TO CUSTODY

FARIDKOT : A Faridkot court on Tuesday sent a Moga car dealer and a Chandigarhbased gun house owner to one-day police custody in connection with the 2014 inter-state foreign-made weapons smuggling case. The accused — dealer Pankaj Bansal and gun house owner Satish Kumar — were produced the court of chief judicial magistrate Harwinder Singh Sindhia after their five-day police custody came to en end on Tuesday. The police’s organised crime control unit (OCCU) arrested them for buying illegal weapons and forging sales bills. The OCCU had named six in the FIR.
