India Innovation Index: Himachal tops in NE & hill states category

DHARAMSHALA: Himachal Pradesh topped replacing

Sikkim in the north east (NE) and hill state category in Niti Aayog’s India Innovation Index2020. Himachal jumped to the top position with a score of 25.06 against the 23.50 scored by its immediate neighbour and second-placed Uttrakhand. Manipur has moved one place up to the third position with a score of 22.78. Sikkim, the top-ranking state last year, has slid to the fourth position. As per the 2019 index report, Himachal Pradesh had scored 13.76 and ranked second after Sikkim.
