Ex­perts from Yale and other var­si­ties to speak at art fair

Ex­perts from dif­fer­ent ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions are ex­pected to speak at the In­dia Art Fair’s fifth edi­tion, sched­uled to be held from Fe­bru­ary 1 to 3, 2013, in New Delhi. The main com­po­nent of the ed­u­ca­tional pro­gramme at the event, which is In­dia’s mod­ern and con­tem­po­rary art fair, is the Speak­ers’ Fo­rum. The fo­rum in­cludes a se­ries of top­i­cal sem­i­nars and con­ver­sa­tions that bring to­gether a panel of ex­perts from the art world to dis­cuss key is­sues per­tain­ing to art in the re­gion and at the global level. Robert Storr, dean, Yale School of Art; TJ De­mos, reader, mod­ern and con­tem­po­rary art, Univer­sity Col­lege Lon­don, Pa­trick D Flores, pro­fes­sor of art stud­ies at the de­part­ment of art stud­ies, Univer­sity of the Philip­pines; Parul Dave Mukherji, dean, School of Arts and Aes­thet­ics, Jawa­har­lal Nehru Univer­sity, New Delhi, will be part of the The re­sult of the Com­mon Ad­mis­sion Test (CAT) 2012 is due out on Jan­uary 9, 2013, the In­dian In­sti­tutes of Man­age­ment, and Pro­met­ric, which ad­min­is­ters the test, an­nounced. Can­di­dates will be able to log on to IIMs’ por­tal via the CAT web­site from Jan­uary 9 to know their re­sults. Can­di­dates will be re­quired to en­ter their CAT reg­is­tra­tion num­ber and email ad­dress to ac­cess the site. The au­thor­i­ties have ad­vised can­di­dates to keep a printed copy of their re­sults. CAT 2012 re­sults will be ac­ces­si­ble till De­cem­ber 31, 2013.

“Although we took added pre­cau­tions, we an­tic­i­pate a slightly heav­ier traf­fic on the first day and can­di­dates are ad­vised to be pa­tient and not rush to re­trieve their re­sults. They may try again later if they find the site to be slow,” said SSS Ku­mar, CAT 2012 con­venor.
