Jamia UG ex­ams for pri­vate stu­dents from May 1

Jamia Mil­lia Is­lamia’s an­nual ex­am­i­na­tions, 2013 for un­der­grad­u­ate cour­ses for pri­vate can­di­dates, which were post­poned on March 28, 2013, have been re-sched­uled from May 1, 2013 on­wards. The re­vised sched­ule is also avail­able on of­fi­cial web­site of Jamia The Is­lamiat (com­pul­sory) pa­per is on May 3. Hindi sahitya ka iti­has and po­lit­i­cal the­ory will be held on May 9. Gen­eral English is on May 12. Urdu Elec­tive and lan­guage will be held on May 15. Ara­bic prose with ap­plied gram­mar; his­tory of an­cient In­dia, 3000 BC to 1200 AD; gram­mar and trans­la­tion and gen­eral so­ci­ol­ogy will be held on May 18.

Spirit of clean­li­ness

A group of young en­thu­si­as­tic vol­un­teers from Swechha or­gan­ised a clean-up drive in Jag­damba Camp, a slum com­mu­nity in Sheikh Sarai-I. The drive was con­cep­tu­alised af­ter re­al­is­ing the need of the com­mu­nity for a cleaner and safer space. Th­ese In­dia and UK based vol­un­teers from the youth-fo­cused and youth-run or­gan­i­sa­tion, have been work­ing with the chil­dren of Jag­damba com­mu­nity for the past three months.

With the sup­port of the res­i­dents of Khirki ex­ten­sion, Swechha’s en­vi­ron­men­tal lead­ers have raised their voices to in­flu­ence the lo­cal au­thor­i­ties for a clean neigh­bour­hood and a bet­ter place to live. For more in­for­ma­tion, log on to:
