Jamia UG exams for private students from May 1
Jamia Millia Islamia’s annual examinations, 2013 for undergraduate courses for private candidates, which were postponed on March 28, 2013, have been re-scheduled from May 1, 2013 onwards. The revised schedule is also available on official website of Jamia www.jmi.ac.in. The Islamiat (compulsory) paper is on May 3. Hindi sahitya ka itihas and political theory will be held on May 9. General English is on May 12. Urdu Elective and language will be held on May 15. Arabic prose with applied grammar; history of ancient India, 3000 BC to 1200 AD; grammar and translation and general sociology will be held on May 18.
Spirit of cleanliness
A group of young enthusiastic volunteers from Swechha organised a clean-up drive in Jagdamba Camp, a slum community in Sheikh Sarai-I. The drive was conceptualised after realising the need of the community for a cleaner and safer space. These India and UK based volunteers from the youth-focused and youth-run organisation, have been working with the children of Jagdamba community for the past three months.
