Iran says ‘unmoved by threats’, calls for respect

-

MUNICH: Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif brushed aside new pressure from the United States on Sunday, declaring that his country is “unmoved by threats”. “We don’t respond well to sanctions, but we respond very well to mutual respect,” he said, addressing the Munich Security Conference, an annual gathering of top diplomats and defence officials. Zarif also reiterated that Iran has no interest in nuclear weapons. US President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized the 2015 nuclear deal signed with Iran. AP
