It was a close shave for 182 passengers, including seven crew members, when a Sharjahbound Air Arabia flight made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport after developing a technical snag at 1.25am on Saturday.

The aircraft took off from Kathmandu airport at 12.35am IST but started shaking mid-air due to vibrations in the engine.

However, the pilot handled the situation and successfully landed the aircraft.

PK Srivastava, director of Amausi airport, said the passengers were shifted to a nearby hotel for the night and another plane would be arranged to take them to Sharjah.

“Full emergency landing was sounded at 1.08am. Fire tenders, ambulances and doctors were called and police were put on alert to handle any emergency,” he said.
