Johri asked to ex­plain af­ter sex­ual as­sault claim

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court-ap­pointed Com­mit­tee of Ad­min­is­tra­tors (COA) run­ning the In­dian cricket Board has given its CEO, Rahul Johri, a week to give an ex­pla­na­tion af­ter al­le­ga­tions of sex­ual as­sault was made by an un­named woman in the so­cial me­dia on Satur­day. Johri was men­tioned by name in a Twit­ter post of the woman shared by au­thor Harnidh Kaur. It claims the at­tack hap­pened af­ter she was in­vited to his house on the pre­text of a job in­ter­view. The al­le­ga­tions per­tain to Johri’s time as a se­nior of­fi­cial of an in­ter­na­tional me­dia house be­fore he took over as BCCI CEO in June, 2016. When con­tacted, Johri did not wish to com­ment.
