Israeli actor Gal Gadot, (above) who will be playing the titular role in the Superhero film, Wonder Woman, had a tough time preparing for the role as she had to extensive physical training for months.

She initially was left a bit dazed by the schedule. “Honestly, it was exhausting! But after two and a half months, I really started to enjoy it. But kick-starting that level of training, it was tough,” she said.

Gadot, who has been part of action films such as Fast and Furious had to take on several different activities. “The most difficult aspect of the physical training was the accumulated volume of all of it. It wasn’t just going to the gym; each day, I was training in the gym for two hours, then I’d do horseback riding for a few hours, and then return to the gym for another two hours of martial arts training. I would do that six days a week,” she said. However, she didn’t get bogged down by the schedule, and even though she admits she was nervous about preparing for the role, she was “really excited” to do a stand alone film on the famous superhero based on DC comics. “From time to time I felt like a little girl looking up at Mount Everest and trying to figure out the best way to reach its pinnacle. I was nervous! But at the same time, I had this feeling that everything was going to be okay. I was also really curious about how we’d tell her story.”
