Ayesha ‘laughed off’ Botox, filler rumours
Actor Ayesha Takia, who is making a comeback on screen today with the release of a music video on human trafficking, was trolled recently for her rumoured cosmetic procedures.
While the actor says that she “laughed off those comments”, the social media reaction did rattle her a bit — she had been away from the public eye for a long time before attending a few events in Mumbai earlier this year; her last major film Wanted (2009) was followed by marriage and motherhood.
Some of those event photos showed Ayesha with a face (inset) that appeared Botoxed and a mouth that seemed to have lip fillers; this invited much speculation and trolling. In a chat with us, Ayesha says that the photos were morphed. “I was in Goa when those pictures went viral and it’s so ridiculous, because anyone who has seen me in person would know that it’s absolutely crap. But celebrities have to go through all this.” How did she react? “I just laughed off those comments on my Instagram posts. I didn’t let them play with my mind,” says Ayesha.
