Hindustan Times (Gurgaon) - City - - Lifestyle - Alwyn Coelho

All of us crave for a peaceful vacation without the constant ringing and email alerts. While we hope to stay “off the grid” as much as possible, if we’re running a small business or taking an extended trip, it’s often necessary to have daily access to email, not to mention social sharing sites like Twitter and Facebook. In today’s world it is practically impossible to stay isolated - one always needs to be in touch with loved ones, there would always be that one call from office no matter how well you have prepared to avoid office calls during the vacation and besides who doesn’t like to go live or show off their photos on social media to the world. With today’s “in the moment” generation, waiting or searching for public wifi spot is not always feasible. And yet there’s no faster way to lose your post-vacation glow than to get a shudder-inducing phone bill. Hence having a worry free, unlimited international roaming proposition is paramount.

To make life easier for all the travelers seeking wanderlust, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers has launched an Unlimited International roaming plan, Vodafone i-RoamFREE @ Rs.180/day for travelers across 18 countries encompassing UK, Europe amongst others. So whether one is on a business trip, or a leisure holiday, international travelers can now easily activate a pack and use their number overseas from UK and other popular travel destinations of Europe like Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Malta, & Albania

Apart from Europe, travelers can also use unlimited calls and data in USA, UAE, Singapore & Malaysia with the same pack taking the total tally of “Unlimited” Countries to 18. Europe, USA, UAE, Singapore & Malaysia comprise more than 50% of our total roamers and international traffic. With calls and data becoming completely free in these countries, we are eliminating the hassle of carrying local SIM cards or looking out for public WiFi during overseas travel. Customers can freely upload photos & videos, look up places on maps, check emails and stay connected back home using their Vodafone number without worrying about high international roaming bills They can remain confidently connected on their existing Vodafone number when they travel, and be assured the best of voice and data services.”

Apart from offering unlimited usage in 18 countries, the same pack also allows consumers to use their phones freely across 42 other countries. Vodafone has recently added new countries like Japan, Qatar, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Egypt and more to this pack. In all these countries, subscribers can receive incoming calls for free, make any call for Re. 1/ min and browse data at Re. 1/ MB only.

So, this Diwali, if you are planning a vacation and heading to exotic, far-off lands or simply jaunting across the channel, Vodafone has got you covered wherever you go.
