Actor Shakti Arora’s first love is and will al­ways be act­ing, but the actor has re­vealed that he is spend­ing his free time going through some in­ter­est­ing books these days.

“I was not a reader at all, but my friends forced me to read and gave me some thin books so I don’t get scared,” says Shakti. The actor, who has will soon re­turn to In­dia after fin­ish­ing his work com­mit­ments in In­done­sia, feels that read­ing books changes a per­son’s life. “Your hori­zons widen, your point of view to­wards things changes. There are so many words and phrases you learn, your imag­i­na­tion im­proves.”

So, what are his favourite books and au­thors? “Paulo Coelho is my favourite au­thor. The books that are clos­est to me are The Se­cret by Rhonda Byrne and The Magic of Think­ing Big by David J. Schwartz. These books changed my think­ing process,” says the actor, who rose to fame with the show Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
