Pooja Hedge had already tasted success with Tamil and Telugu films before she made her Bollywood debut with the magnum opus Mohenjo Daro, which was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and also featured Hrithik Roshan.

If she was to pick between Hindi and South film industry, Pooja admits that she enjoys shooting in southern films more. Why? “People there [in the South] are very welcoming to outsiders and newcomers. I started my journey from there and it has been treating me really well and my fan base is only increasing,” said Pooja.

The actor also said that both Bollywood and the southern industry have the same functioning and “it’s just the language that changes.”

She added, “There have been ups and downs, but it has definitely been exciting as a person, who is not from the industry to get a film opposite Hrithik and have a director like Ashutosh. It was a dream debut. Somewhere, I do feel that I am blessed that I have come this far. But I have a long way to go and a lot more to prove.”
