Bring­ing bath­room into fo­cus

Aglobal leader in the de­sign and man­u­fac­ture of kitchen and bath prod­ucts, Kohler In­dia’s new­est cam­paign ‘Dream in Kohler’ seeks to in­no­va­tively bring the bath­room into fo­cus as the cen­tre­piece of the home.

The cam­paign in­volves a con­test where con­sumers are asked to share their dream bath­room ideas by cre­at­ing a mood board of their dream bathspace and shar­ing it on so­cial me­dia to gar­ner votes. Based on the votes re­ceived and the aes­thetic merit, 20 win­ners from across In­dia will each be given a voucher worth `1,00,000 which can be re­deemed from any Kohler store. Salil Sadanandan, pres­i­dent K&B Kohler Brand — South Asia and EMEA at Kohler Co. best en­cap­su­lates the idea behind this cam­paign, “The care­ful cu­ra­tion and per­son­al­i­sa­tion of ob­jects is what makes a house a home. Dream in Kohler is our en­deav­our to make the bath­room the cen­tre­piece of the home. We in­vite you to cre­ate your dream look for this most per­sonal of spa­ces — and we might just bring it to life for you.”

To com­mu­ni­cate its mes­sage Kohler re­leased three tele­vi­sion com­mer­cials made in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Ter­ri­bly Tiny Tales (TTT). Each film takes up re­lat­able sit­u­a­tions and links them to the im­por­tance of a bath­room as a place of refuge and re­lax­ation, rather than merely as a de­vice to pro­mote Kohler prod­ucts.

The cam­paign has re­ceived close to 9,000 en­tries and con­tin­ues to see an en­thu­si­as­tic re­sponse from all over the country.

In ad­di­tion to the win­ners, five select en­tries would be cho­sen for a bath­room makeover by the top ar­chi­tects in the country. The con­tes­tants and their dream bath­room sto­ries will be fea­tured on a tele­vi­sion show.
