There’s an insane amount of hoopla over Valentine’s Day, right? But 24 hours before the feeding frenzy of red roses, red balloons, red cupcakes, and red whatnot, gal pals across the world are raising a toast to Galentine’s Day, today. This is a day for lavishing affection not on a romantic partner, but on one’s best friend forever.

This fabulous term, Galentine’s Day, was coined by a fictional character, named Leslie Knope, from the American sitcom Parks and Recreation. She described it as a day when the ladies leave behind and step out with their girlfriends to celebrate the bond of love that women share. Take a look at these Bollywood women, who give us major BFF goals.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora Ladak: They were good friends even before Kareena had made her Bollywood debut with Refugee (2000). They go out painting the town red, dressed to kill. Recently, when Amrita turned 40, the girl squad celebrated her birthday in Goa in the most fabulous way — the husbands were there, too!

Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez: They celebrate each other’s birthday in the best possible the red carpet by storm, posing as Bollywood’s hottest BFFs. In an interview, Jacqueline had revealed that she and Sonam were competitive but never insecure. That said all about their friendship.

Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt: From working out at the gym to attending the hottest parties in tinsel town, Kat and Alia always celebrate BFF love together and share their twinning pictures.

Mini Mathur and Maria Goretti: Maria describes Mini as her partner in fun crimes and drunken rhymes. The two started their career as video jockeys — that’s how they met. Their parties are incomplete without each other
