Muslim doctor arrested for Facebook post

BHOPAL\JHABUA: The Jhabua police have arrested a Muslim doctor of Para town for sharing a picture showing a “sadhu” purchasing meat in a black polythene from a shop with the caption “Rare picture of Ram purchasing green vegetables from Rahim’s shop.” Dr Aatik Khan was charged under Section 505 (2) and arrested. The FIR was lodged by Jhabua Kotwali police following complaint by Anil Prajapat, resident of Para. Prajapat said that Dr Khan’s post amounted to inciting communal tension and hurting religious sentiments.
