Foundation Day at DLDAV, Shalimar Bagh
DLDAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh, celebrated its Foundation Day recently. Vice chairman SM Gupta and school manager Sneh Verma attended.
In her address, principal Reena Rajpal traced the journey of the school and urged students and teachers to appreciate with pride and gratitude the vision and perseverance of all who contributed to making the institution great. In a special assembly conducted on the occasion, students pledged to abide by the school rules, uphold its values and be committed to excellence.

Dwarka, organised a summer camp-cultural exchange programme for two weeks at New Zealand. Seven students of Grade IX, along with senior headmistress Shalini Jain, visited Whanganui High School, Whanganui, New Zealand. The visit provided an opportunity to the students to acquaint themselves with each other’s cultures and teaching methodologies and was inexplicably a wonderful and undoubtedly a great learning experience for all. The school’s management, chairper- son S Rana, chairman AS Rana, Indraprastha Group of Schools director Dr Rajesh Hassija and vice principal Urmimala Sudhakar were indeed proud of the achievement of the students and the success of the programme. The students also received certificates of participation at the closing ceremony by principal Martin McAllen. Bhatnagar International School, Paschim Vihar’s students participated in 6th Amity International Science and Maths Olympiad recently and brought laurels to the organisation by competing with participant countries like Turkey, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Maldova, Laos, Bangladesh. Chirag Garg of Class 10 won Country Gold Medal and made his Institution proud. Priya Sajnani (X), Nandini Kapoor (X), Tanya Gulati (XI), Ridhima Gupta (X), Bhavana Malhotra (IX), Udish Gupta (IX), Sainyam Sethi (IX), Vikas Arora (XI), Eshan Chawla (XI) won Country Bronze medals and marked their recognition at this international festival of Olympiad. The atmosphere was competitive and challenging and effectively tested the mettle of students. Eminent academicians mentored the students. Darshan Academy, Kirpal Bagh, in collaboration with Montenegro, organised ‘India – Montenegro Inter-school Poster Making Competition’. The aim of the competition was to help the students understand different cultures and express it with their artistic skills. It was a priviledge for the school to host the students from various government and public schools of north Delhi, who expressed their thoughts through colours and portrayed Indian–Montenegro Cultural Tourism, Economic Tourism, Eco-Tourism, Agriculture Tourism, Adventure Tourism etc. The event was graced by chief guest Sanjeev Kapur, retired additional director general from CPWD, Govt of India. The first round of the competition was presided over by HE Dr Janice Darbari, honorary consul general of Montenegro in India.
