According to the prosecution, the woman lodged an FIR against the man at Dwarka sector 23 police station in May. She alleged that the accused, who had promised to arrange a job for her, raped her after consuming alcohol.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the accused was arrested and charge-sheeted. A case was registered against him under section 376 (2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code. He pleaded not guilty.

However, while deposing before the court, the woman said that she lodged the complaint in a fit of anger after the man did not arrange a job for her. Also, the woman’s sister informed the court that the complaint was filed to teach the accused a lesson.

“From testimony of the prosecutrix (the alleged victim), it is evident that the true genesis of the incident was a dispute between the accused and the prosecutrix after the accused failed to secure a job for her. The prosecutrix deposed that she was not raped by the accused,” said additional sessions judge Gautam Manan.
