55yearold dies during police ‘raid’
NEWDELHI: A 55-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances when a Delhi Police team reached his son-in-law’s neighbourhood in northeast Delhi’s Old Mustafabad to arrest a robber on Saturday. His family members have alleged that he was manhandled by the policemen because of which he died.
Ravindra Yadav, joint commissioner of police (eastern range) denied the allegation and said the man apparently died of a cardiac attack and that he was not touched by anybody from the raiding party. “An enquiry has been ordered,” said Yadav.
