The Day 1 of the Lo­tus Make-Up In­dia Fash­ion Week SS’19 in as­so­ci­a­tion with Nexa , part­nered with Hin­dus­tan Times, kick-started with a spec­ta­cle of a show by de­signer Aneeth Arora of Pero, on Wed­nes­day. The first day of the four-day fash­ion gala, be­ing held at the Jawa­har­lal Nehru Sta­dium, be­gan with a splash of colour and came to a glo­ri­ous end with a black-and­white theme. The no­table trends picked up in­cluded ev­ery­thing over­sized in­clud­ing ac­ces­sories like clutches and bags that were spot­ted at Rimzim Dadu’s show. While sus­tain­able fash­ion has al­ways been a high­light dur­ing fash­ion weeks, this time around, it also had a lot to do with func­tional cloth­ing. Also in fo­cus were sev­eral tex­tiles from dif­fer­ent parts of the coun­try, which were given a modern in­ter­pre­ta­tion by de­sign­ers.
