Actor Richa Chadha played the role of a sex worker in her last film, Love Sonia, which highlights the issue of global sex trafficking. While she is happy that the film has created a strong impact on the minds of people, the in-depth research about sex trafficking, especially in India, deeply moved her. Thus, the actor has decided to talk about the issue on global platforms.

Richa will head to the United Nations (UN) to discuss the menace which affects women across the globe. She has also been invited to seven platforms to talk about the subject, including a summit in Singapore and Los Angeles (USA).

“So many people have related to the film. It’s great to know that the message is being spread out to so many people. I’m ecstatic for the film to have reached the audiences in the right way. And being invited by such important forums, that have an international audience, to discuss about such a cause and women empowerment in general, is a great feeling,” says Richa.

She adds, “It gives me an opportunity as an actor to be a part of a global conversation and to exchange thoughts and ideas with so many people who are doing so much for the betterment of women and girl rights.”
