Don’t skip ex­er­cise dur­ing fes­tiv­i­ties

It can seem tough to stick to a fit­ness rou­tine dur­ing the fes­tive sea­son. But if you are not care­ful, you may end up pil­ing on weight. Here are a few things to do to stay fit while cel­e­brat­ing:

■ Go for a walk: While you may not be able to stop your­self from in­dulging, it is a good idea to go for a walk af­ter­wards. Even a quick 3040 minute walk can boost your di­ges­tion and me­tab­o­lism.

■ Keep your work­out rou­tine short: You may not be able to stay at the gym for long, but even 20 min­utes, twice a day, will be good.

■ Fam­ily ac­tiv­i­ties: It sucks

to go to the gym alone dur­ing fes­tive sea­son, so why not get your fam­ily on board and ex­er­cised to­gether? You can go swim­ming with fam­ily or play a sport to­gether.

■ Set a time: You will have tons of ex­cuses to skip ex­er­cise. So, bet­ter get it out of the way in the morn­ing be­fore oth­ers are up and you feel too lazy to step out.
