Wedding’s top 50: Here’s how to make the cut

- Aprajita Sharad

Awedding can now have only 50 guests, so there’s bound to be a tussle over who makes it to the guest list. If you’re faced with a similar situation, here’s how you can have an edge over others:

“I wanted only those who are genuinely excited to attend my wedding. That’s why friends who helped choose the masks for me and my husband made it to my list,” says newlywed Avantika Mishra from Delhi.

Gurugram resident Anamika Malhotra, who was part of her best friend’s marriage recently, advises, “Since friends can’t be close to the bride until the Dday,

they must act swiftly when they notice the bride getting cold feet. If you’re able to soothe the bride via virtual videos, you’re in the top 50!”

“Running out of biryani isn’t as much an issue as is the sanitiser getting over! Luckily, I attended another wedding and had experience to ensure no mishaps occur. Perhaps, the groom knew this,” quips Arun Ahlawat, a Delhiite who recently attended his school friend’s wedding.

Not being able to go on their honeymoon was something Delhiite Shikha Nanda’s cousin was upset over. Nanda surprised the couple by renting a friend’s flat and decorating it.
